Unbeaten in 5 games

The Reserves stretched there unbeaten run to 5 games as they beat Lutterworth Res in an end to end game.
This year the difference is having a squad available each week and are now playing as a team which is great to see, Lutterworth have a good squad and doing well in the league so we knew it was going to be tough , lutterworth started sharply but our work rate and effort matched them , early on they had got into good positions but there finishing was not and Azza was picking shots out the trees , Simon gave us the lead and he started like it was his last game ever chasing in the channels and causing there defence problems , all over the park there was battles , young jake Malone at 16year old did not look out of place in his first start for 5 games , the Visitors equalized just before half time , left winger skipped past 3 poor attempted tackles and placed in bottom corner , good goal .
2nd half Azza had to make a few saves and the back 3 of Jimmy , Jack and harry worked hard and threw there bodies on line at time but late on Desfords highest ever goal scorer , old boy Simon Goodman got the winner showing that even though he plays Vets these days when he does play for the reserves he can still score goals.

A great team performance , county cup next week good luck to the lads .
