Ran out Of Steam

When you play Blaby & Whetstone you just don't know what side they will pull in and Saturday they pulled a good side in .
Boasting players that plyaed in there First team last season we knew it was going to be a tough challenge and also we had 4 new signings ourselves so again we had to field a much changed side.
It was a slow start for us and Blaby scored early after through ball caught our two Centre halves out .
We then started to put together openings playing through the middle of the park with james and new signing Godfrey combining well and with Kian as holding we looked a lot better , half chances came and went then we went 2 down , Harry seemed to have the ball and forward under control but a hesitation from Harry and the suspicion of a slight push the striker nicked the ball and scored .2.0HT

Stand in Manager Dan Portch decided to change the formation and go with 2 up front to get back in the game , again we had a lively start and created a few chances but just could not finish at times we were trying to be too direct and were going long too many times missing our midfield out , Aeron pulled some good saves but we were starting to look tired last 15 mins and 2 good goals killed us off , a looping clearance dropped to there midfielder 25 yards out and he caught it on the volley leaving Aeron rooted , he wont get a goal like that again !, then as Aeron came out one on one he was chipped cheekily .4.0 FT

positive was the new signings fitted in well and a good performance from Aeron , Roll onto Bottesford next week and lets hope for positive result ..
