Lacklustre Performance

After an unbeaten run of games that saw the reserves climb away from the relegation zone this fixture against bottom side Rothley should have seen the run continue.
But the form guide went out the window as Desford just did not show the sought of performance they have recently.
With both teams fielding a handfull of 1st team squad players both teams looked evenly matched and the first half was end to end .
the quality of play was not there and clear cut chances were few , Sam Spence had the best chance in the 1st half a great stike from 30 yards that Rothley Keeper Ben Davies tipped round the post at full stretch.
At the other end Craig Mcadam had a couple of saves to make and rothley hit the bar with a header .
In the 2nd half Rothley started brighter and 5 minutes in scored .
Desford had some half chances but Rothley far more chances and Criag had to make some smart saves to keep the score at 1.0 .
This was not the best performance by the reserves and a lot of players had an off night.
The next game is at home in a local derby with Earl Shilton and i am sure the performance will be better.
