Hard fought Win

after a great performance and a win against Thurnby it was tinged with sadness after injury to Ross hollingsworth who on his first game back after injury came off with a suspected ankle break.
In the 1st half Desford struggled with the fast pace that Thurnby started with the front two of Thurnby were causing big problems for the defence,early on Craig had to make a couple of saves and did not seem it was going to be long before the break through.
It came mid way through the half,Thurnby`s striker got in the box and as Craig came out he seemed to trip over and to every ones surprise a penalty was awarded,1.0 Thurnby.
the 2nd half was totally differant with Desford playing good football and with passion , defencively we looked solid and going forward looked dangerous , mid way through Dale got in the box and was bought down by the keeper, Ellis put the spot kick away.A long throw was headed on by the impressive Leroy and there was shaun to volley home .
Leroy got a deserved goal when a free kick was put in the box by Jamal and Leroy rose to head home but then with 10 minutes to go Ross turned and shot but fell awkward under no challenge and was in a lot of pain,just hope its not too serious .
